HOL makes high end footwear and accessories from traditional craft methods to bring the desire for quality back. Shoemaker duo Matilda Sandström and Younès Othman operates from their workshop location in almost 400 year old family property Holgården, surrounded by the deep forests of Dalarna, writing their own folk tale interlaced with Tunisian Amazigh roots, aiming to marry diversities and enlightening similarities by the cross-fertilization of cultural traditions. The Holgården residents has since illiteracy engraved their housemark onto tools, household utensils and even buildings that for some reason left the property. The same housemark as in HOLs shoe stamp, now spreading across the world.
